2. Description of Service

Solos is a business management platform designed for Canadian freelancers. The Service provides tools for:

• Invoicing and billing
• Time tracking
• Expense management
• Client relationship management
• Contract management
• Tax compliance assistance (GST/HST/PST/QST)

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. User Accounts

To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Promptly update your information if it changes
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service.

4. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy of data you enter into the Service
• Compliance with tax laws and regulations in your jurisdiction
• Your relationships with your clients
• Backing up your data regularly
• Ensuring your use complies with all applicable laws

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Violate any laws in your jurisdiction
• Infringe on the rights of others
• Upload malicious code or attempt to breach security
• Interfere with the Service or other users' access
• Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
• Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
• Impersonate another person or entity

6. Payment Terms

Solos offers subscription plans with different features. By subscribing, you agree to:

• Pay all fees associated with your selected plan
• Provide valid payment information
• Authorize recurring charges for subscription renewals

Prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated. We may change pricing with 30 days' notice. Refunds are handled according to our refund policy, which may vary by plan type.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content created by Solos, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of all data and content you upload to the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the Service to you.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Service without our written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied
• We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Solos and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Your content or data

10. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time through the account settings or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms
• Your payment method fails
• We are required to do so by law
• We cease offering the Service

Upon termination, you may export your data for a period of 30 days. After that, we will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Quebec, Canada.

12. Dispute Resolution

Before initiating any legal action, you agree to contact us at legal@solos.ca to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve any issues within 30 days.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
